Terms & Conditions

GENERAL TERMS. Terms include those in this agreement (“Agreement”); any online agreement or terms, confirmation; directions, instructions (check-in, checkout), house rules, house signs, & similar documents; any condominium or homeowners’ association rules; applications, including required approvals; and any options, optional agreements, and waivers. Should any conflicts arise, the terms of this agreement control.  

PROPERTY (“PROPERTY”).  Neither the Property nor any part of the Property will be used at any time during the stay by the Guest as permanent housing, or for the purpose of carrying on any business, profession, or trade of any kind.

In no case will the Guest have more visitors than are permitted by the applicable fire code, and in no case shall the Guest permit visitors to stay overnight except with the prior written consent of Casago Highland Lakes.  Should Casago Highland Lakes consider that any visitors are causing a disturbance or are otherwise not in compliance with these terms, Casago Highland Lakes may ask the Guest to remove the visitors or may terminate the stay. 

PAYMENTS & CHARGES. Payment & charges are in accordance with any online agreement and terms below.

Payment Method. Major debit/credit cards, PayPal, and e-checks.

Payment Terms. As described online, 50% of the total amount is due upon reservation to hold the reservation. The Balance is due 30 days prior to the Rental Period.  If the initial reservation occurs within 30 days of the requested check-in date, 100% of the costs and fees will be charged at time of booking.  Online Travel Agent (OTA) payment fees apply in concurrence with these requirements.

Travel Insurance. Travel insurance is recommended for any concerns about our cancellation policy or personal injury.

Credit Card Documentation & Authorization. Copy of Guest’s driver’s license must be submitted to complete the reservation. Guest authorizes Casago Highland Lakes to charge cards for any additional charges & penalties based on this agreement.

Chargebacks & Refunds. Guest waives any right to dispute a credit/debit card charge or request a refund from the platform, and agrees to the use of the alternative grievance, litigation, and arbitration policies in this agreement.

Cancellations & Changes. Any cancellation that occurs 14 days or more prior to check-in date, a 100% refund will be allotted.  Less than 140 days, but more than 7 days before check-in date, a 50% refund will occur.  Within 7 days of check-in, no refund is required.  Changes, when available, may require a fee, plus any rate changes. Reservations will be canceled without refund if Guest provides false information when reserving or fails to provide matching ID and credit card. There are no refunds for unused days, unmet expectations, problems with the property (unless rendered useless), bad weather, natural disasters, or personal or other reasons. Rescheduling will be permitted and credits will be applied, due any force majeure events beyond reasonable expectation of control by Casago Highland Lakes, provided the reservation is rescheduled before the original rental period, payment is made for any rate changes, & the new arrival date is within 1 year of initial check-in date. CASAGO HIGHLAND LAKES reserves the right to cancel reservations or refuse service to anyone within applicable laws.

If Guest leaves Property without providing Casago Highland Lakes the opportunity to satisfy Property to Guest satisfaction, Guest sacrifices remaining balance of stay and is ineligible for a refund.  

Cleaning Fee.  Included in the Rent, is a cleaning fee to return the Property to its rentable condition after stay.  The Cleaning fee will be used to cover the reasonable costs of the regular cleaning of the Property required to put the Property back to the same condition.

If the Property requires excessive cleaning, that is, above and beyond the regular cleaning generally required in order to return the Property to the state it was in prior to the Guest’s stay, due to any cause, such as from a party or large gathering, the Guests shall be charged for such excessive cleaning at a reasonable rate, which may be recovered from the Guest by any legal means.

Care and Use.  The Guest will promptly notify Casago Highland Lakes of any damage, or any situation that may interfere with the normal use of the Property or any furnishings.  The Guest will not engage in any illegal trade or activity on or about the Property.

OCCUPANCY. Guests must be at least age 25 (or active military) to rent property.

Management may enter the Property at any time in the case of an emergency to protect Property.  In cases of non-emergency, Management may enter the Property upon reasonable notice to the Guest, at a reasonable time, and in compliance with the Act, in order to complete repairs, maintenance or improvements, or to inspect the Property.  

GRIEVANCE POLICY. Please contact Casago Highland Lakes with any concerns. We guarantee we will do all we can within policy and reason to accommodate you. Claims are waived unless reported within 24 hrs. of discovery a reasonable time to cure is provided.

ANIMALS. Pet Policy. Pets are strictly prohibited without written permission from Casago Highland Lakes  & payment of $99.00 per pet for a max of 2 pets. 

Emotional Support Animals (ESA’s). ESA’s require a written request at time of reservation & official documentation (from a doctor or the government) of a diagnosed disability, unless readily apparent. Or the pet policy applies. Service Animals. Service Animals, incl. Animals in training require a written request at time of reservation. No documentation is required but a person who knowingly misrepresents a pet as a service animal is illegal and carries penalties of up to $1,000 and 30 hours of community service in the state of Texas.

Removal. CASAGO HIGHLAND LAKES can remove any animal for inappropriate behavior.

NOISE. The property is in a residential area. Code compliance is required. Quiet Hours are 10 PM- 8 AM.

Supplies. Each property is provided with bathroom and kitchen amenities such as toiletries and paper towels.  All kitchens have cooking tools and utensils.  If guest needs something specific, please reach out to Casago Highland Lakes prior to arrival to see if it can be provided.  Any needs during your stay will be accommodated within reason.

Social Functions. Parties, groups, gatherings, events, etc. are prohibited. Violations will result in removal of all persons by law enforcement; cancellation without refund. 

Commercial Use. Commercial use of the property is prohibited. Maintenance. Responses are made as CASAGO HIGHLAND LAKES reasonably deems appropriate.
